Businesses are always evolving in interesting ways to generate new revenue streams for their shareholders and make them more attractive to investors. Sometimes those ideas seem to fit the company like a glove, causing you to wonder why this hasn’t been happening all along. Along those lines, the titan of ride shares Uber is now actively offering Uber Reindeer Sleigh Rides for their customers in Lapland Finland.

The connection between this concept and this company seems as obvious as whether it is daytime or nighttime when you walk out your front door. However, Uber Reindeer Sleigh Rides has been announced to launch on December 12th. The opportunity will not last forever either as they will only be available for 8 days and end on December 18th.

Customers will be able to schedule a ride right on the Uber phone app and the trip takes about 2 hours to complete. Lapland Finland has gorgeously stunning snow-covered forests this time of year. The ride comes complete with a blanket for warmth, and of course authentic reindeer to pull you through this winter wonderland. It is approximately a two-hour journey through the Finlandia countryside and the Uber Reindeer Sleigh Ride will also be given a tour of Rovaniemi.

Rovaniemi is also known as the home of Santa Claus even though many of the Christmas songs reference the North Pole as the location of his Christmas Village. As the story goes, around a half-century ago Santa knew that to be able to preserve and safeguard his secret North Pole location he needed to find somewhere he could meet people who loved Christmas as much as he did. He needed to be able to greet them in a neutral location away from his workshop. The tranquility of Rovaniemi was a perfect fit and he regularly frequents the Arctic Circle, which is also the capital of Lapland.

According to Fox Business, “The rides are free.” That’s right you did read that correctly: Uber Reindeer Sleigh rides are free of charge to their customers.

It would be very difficult to find a deal better than that while on vacation in Finland. Fox News Digital received a statement from Uber’s vice president and general manager of EMEA Mobility Anabel Diaz which read, “We’re delighted to bring Christmas dreams to life with the launch of Uber Sleigh in Lapland.”

During those eight days, the sleigh rides will be available to book on the app for two start times. One is at 10 a.m. and the other time slot is 2 p.m. The visit Rovaniemi tourism board is forecasting a 46% increase in visitors year over year to the area and I bet this attraction is going to be in high demand.

If you are traveling to the area, I highly recommend reserving your Uber Reindeer Sleigh Rides as soon as allowable to ensure you aren’t left out in the cold on this incredible opportunity. Uber is likely already thinking about this concept and other applications like Central Park Horse and Buggy Rides amongst many other similar attractions worldwide. They will be able to diversify their revenue streams and it is not a stretch to think they are the best company to pull all these wonderful attractions together for their customers.
