iPads have been endlessly helpful for both creative and business-minded individuals. Their sleek nature is perfect for on-the-go work and highly versatile with all the Apple store applications. In late 2022, the iPad Pro will get a revamp with mesmerizing new features that’ll astonish the tech market.
Keep your eyes peeled this coming fall because that’s when the supposed new iPad Pro will drop. The latest version will include MagSafe inductive charging, a wireless way to charge electronics. It’ll also have the innovative M2 chip, Apple’s updated state-of-the-art hardware chip that’s the first Apple-specific chip in the company’s history. The brand new iPad Pro with its ingenious hardware will undoubtedly enthuse tech enjoyers worldwide.
When it comes to iPads, Apple’s last official update for the technology appeared in 2021. Those iPad Pros were finally equipped with 5G and Thunderbolt connectivity, optimizing their performance and durability. The iPad was also updated to have Apple’s M1 chip, the first version of the M2.
On the back of Apple’s exciting M1 creation, the company is ready for its second version. The M2, which will be in the brand new iPad Pro, has yet to be released and has few details regarding its unique features. Many believe that the M2 will also be installed in Apple’s remaining MacBook Airs, a quick replacement for the recently released M1.
The latest versions of the M1 chip are already impressive enough. The M1 Pro and M1 Max, both released last year, have 10 CPU cores and 16 GPU and 32 GPU cores, respectively. Apple specifically designed them to work with Apple-only products and are now utilized in both 14 and 16-inch Macbook laptops. The iPad Pro’s M2 will likely have the same 8 CPUs as the M1 but will operate more quickly and effectively. Its also expected to have 9 and 10 CPU options, unlike the M1’s 7 and 8 CPU options.
Though newer products like the iPad Pro will have M2 chips, many older Apple products still rely on other hardware. This year, the company is planning to transition all of its existing products to the M-series silicon chips, ensuring that all technology will have Apple-designed chips only. M2 chips are also expected to get an update shortly after release, just like M1’s Max and Pro upgrades.
For a while, iPads didn’t receive any significant updates. iPads and iPad Pros have stayed unchanged since 2018, sticking to their familiar design and features. But then, the physical display changed to an edge-to-edge screen, making the technology into one rectangular screen. Now, all of Apple’s iPads, including the iPads mini, have this iconic display, much to the delight of many iPad consumers. Apple never shies from releasing new and improved versions of its renowned products. For many, the iPad Pro was a fantastic upgrade from the previous iPads, with no further changes necessary.
