On April 25th Krispy Kreme announced they have partnered with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal to combine their deliciousness and form Krispy Kreme Cinnamon Toast Crunch donuts. The collaboration will offer three new flavors in its Cinnamon Milk Glaze Donut collection. The new flavors are Cinnamon Milk Glazed, Cinnamon Milk Glazed with Cream Cheese, and Cinnamon Milk Glaze with Dulce de Leche. Take a sneak peek at the mouth-watering combos below.
If customers order a full box of the Cinnamon Milk Glaze Donut collection they will receive a limited-edition Krispy Kreme x Cinnamon Toast Crunch box while supplies last. As part of this new combination launch, Krispy Kreme is also offering a frozen drink inspired by the new flavor called the Cinnamon Milk Chiller, and it’s topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavored whipping cream.
According to Food and Wine, Krispy Kreme is teaming up with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on cereal milk donuts and that is not the only creative mashup they have done. Let’s not forget just a few months ago, Krispy Kreme fused an entire Twix bar inside a donut. So, for Krispy Kreme, they are old pros on expertly bringing two iconic products together. Still, when Krispy Kreme brings a flavor to their donuts for the first time they can be expected to do it right. This time they are doing it right with the help of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, with combinations that are sure to tantalize anyone’s tastebuds. However, there is a catch. These special donuts will only be available for a “limited time”
The cinnamon milk glazed donuts are seemingly the most basic, but at the same time, outright delicious. The company simply covered its classic Krispy Kreme donuts with a cinnamon milk glaze to create the heavenly combo. Meanwhile, the cinnamon milk glazed donuts with cream cheese take the cinnamon milk glazed donuts, add a layer of cream cheese icing, and top it off with Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces. Did someone say yum? Similarly, the cinnamon milk glazed donuts with dulce de leche add a drizzle of dulce de leche icing, Cinnamon Toast Crunch pieces, and a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar to the cinnamon milk glazed donuts. This is not the first time Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal has been a part of the Krispy Kreme menu. Back in September, the donut chain released a limited-edition cinnamon roll, which was a yeast-raised dough hand-rolled with cinnamon, covered in their original glaze, topped with the beloved breakfast cereal and a milk icing swirl.
“Partnering again with Cinnamon Toast Crunch is great and we know there’s a lot of desire for cereal milk-inspired treats,” says Krispy Kreme Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena in a release. “The creamy, cinnamony glaze on our light, a fluffy doughnut is a great new taste combination that our fans will love!”
There is no timeline for when the Krispy Kreme Cinnamon Toast Crunch donuts will disappear from the menu as they have given the Cinnamon Milk Glaze Donut collection the “limited time” label on the menu. The good news is Krispy Kreme has moved its menu item Cinnamon Rolls from the “limited time” category to the permanent menu. So if you are one who craves those crazy squares there is hope for the delicious combination to make it from “limited time” to “permanent”. Fingers crossed!
