Seltzer and alcoholic beverage companies constantly push the envelope of what flavor combinations would taste good together. As hard seltzer becomes more prevalent in today’s market, companies nationwide are releasing their own take on the fizzy drink to bring in new consumers. One brewery decided to incorporate a summer favorite to give its recent hard seltzer a fun, unique twist. Martin House Brewing Company in Fort Worth, Texas, is releasing a hot dog water beer as a festive summer drink.

Martin House Brewing Company has never shied away from releasing drinks with unique flavor profiles. Other than hot dog water beer, the brand has released beverages with mustard, pickles, and even salsa verde. The newest drink that encapsulates the best summer flavors is the Awesome Sauce Hard Seltzer: Bun Length. The hard seltzer is brewed with leftover frankfurter water, giving it that quintessential hot dog essence. The sparkling beverage will have a 5.2-percent ABV and will be released in the middle of July.

Shugg Cole, Martin House Brewing Company’s marketing director, stated that the brand wanted to release a hot dog water beer for quite some time. As other unusual combinations started flowing out of the brewery, the company made sure that this summer would be the right time to create the frankfurter sparkling beverage. The hard seltzer tastes just like a hot dog soaked in booze, perfect for those who’ve been craving that combination. Martin House Brewing Company’s Bun Length will be distributed at a release party on July 16th.

Glizzy Fest, Martin House’s summer celebration, will be a five-hour extravaganza centered around hot dogs. The festival will take place in the brewery’s backyard on July 16th, featuring three different food trucks, a hot dog eating contest, local vendors, and the titular weiner dogs relaxing in their own inflatable pool. Alongside Glizzy Fest being a fun salute to summer, this party will be the event where Awesome Sauce Hard Seltzer: Bun Length will officially be released. Patrons can taste-test the hot dog water beer for themselves and confirm if the flavor matches up with the taste of iconic American franks.

Awesome Sauce: Bun Length will be available on draft at the brewery during and after Glizzy Fest. If you’d like to purchase a pack to go, the Martin House Brewing Company will have 420 limited-edition cans for sale. After those have been distributed, the hot dog water beer will only be available on draft. Cans of the seltzer will sell for $4 each. Other wild beer combinations will be on tap all summer long, like the Best Maid Pickle Mustard Beer. If mustard and hot dogs aren’t your favorite flavors for an alcoholic beverage, 25 more standard beers will be ready to pour on Martin House’s tap.

The food industry, especially beverage companies, is becoming more inventive with its creations. Though some unique alcoholic drinks are out there, none are as eyebrow-raising as a hot dog water beer. Martin House Brewing Company is at the forefront of releasing outlandish beverages with no sign of stopping.
