Dunkin’ Donuts is countering other coffee spots’ seasonal drinks by releasing new fall-inspired beers for all to enjoy. The donut chain will partner with a Boston-area brewery called Harpoon Brewery to make their Dunkin’ beer. The four-beverage collection will be inspired by the tastes and smells of east coast autumn.

The new line of Dunkin’ beers will be called Harpoon Dunkin’ Box O’ Beer, only available as a seasonal 12-pack. The package will include four different brew flavors, including the autumnal favorite Pumpkin Spice Latte. The three other beers in the collection also use Dunkin coffee to enhance their flavor. These beverages include the Cold Brew Coffee Porter, Hazelnut Blonde Stout, and Coffee Roll Cream Ale. Both Dunkin’ and Harpoon hope to help celebrate fall by providing these creative and festive drink combinations.

The alcohol by volume for each beer in the Harpoon package shouldn’t be any higher than average beer percentages. The Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale will have a 5.2% ABV, as well as an oat milk addition to give the drink that essentially creamy latte taste. Two of the Dunkin’ beers have an ABV that’s higher than 6%: the Hazelnut Blonde Stout and the Cold Brew Coffee Porter. The cold brew-flavored beer is prepared with regular whole milk, a sure nod to Dunkin’s iced coffee beverages. At the same time, the Hazelnut Blonde Stout traverses new territory for the company with its bold, fermented flavor.

Brian Gilbert, Dunkin’ Donuts vice president of retail business development, announced his delight at the collaboration between the donut company and Harpoon Brewery. He stated that the joint brewing effort brought the overall taste to a “level of flavor” Dunkin’ had never reached before. Harpoon CEO and co-founder Dan Kenary also spoke about the successful partnership, noting that this is the fifth year that the two have collaborated. He concluded his statement by acknowledging his excitement about the upcoming Dunkin’ beers and how great it is to partner with other Boston-area businesses.

The rollout for Dunkin’ beers won’t just happen virtually. There will be a physical launch party for the Harpoon box collection, unveiling at the brewery on September 16. The event will only last between 6 pm to 9 pm, so make sure to get there on time to maximize your taste-testing time. For those lucky enough to attend the launch party, limited-edition Dunkin’ Harpoon IPA Donuts will be available for all to savor. The Harpoon donuts were released for a short period last year, which became the coffee company’s first ever donut to contain IPA-infused jelly.

If you live outside Boston or can’t attend the September launch party, there’s still a definite way for you to obtain Dunkin’ beers. The Harpoon Dunkin’ Box O’ Beer packs will be available at all Harpoon locations as well as stores that generally sell Harpoon products. The Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale will also be available on tap at Harpoon Brewery locations. You can take a six-pack of the autumnal ale home from the brewery if a few pumpkin-flavored beers aren’t enough to quell your cravings.
