And, in some parts of China, canned yellow peaches are said to have medicinal properties! And now, the country is running low. While they can’t beat covid, they can help boost your sugar.
According to CNN, Covid cases are peaking again in China, and just like in the US, when we couldn’t seem to keep toilet paper in stock for some unknown reason, they now can’t keep canned yellow peaches in stock.
Canned yellow peaches are considered a nutritional delicacy in many parts of China. But now, someone has started the rumor that the canned fruit can fight the COVID-19 virus. It’s now sold out around China.
Dalian Leasun Food, China’s largest peach manufacturer has even put out a bulletin announcing that canned yellow peaches do not help fight again COVID-19, or any other virus. Although folks in China are stockpiling the fruit, peaches have no medicinal effects.
Through this latest Covid-19 spike, canned yellow peaches are simply just the newest craze. Just like the US chose toilet paper, somehow convinced there would not be enough to go around, those in China, for some reason, chose the juicy fruit.
In addition to canned yellow peaches, an obvious product is in great supply and in danger of running short. That product is Tylenol. This shortage comes on the heels of the announcement that Johnson & Johnson will be changing its home healthcare line to Kenvue.
China’s pharmaceutical lines have stocks that are reaching new heights, regardless of their names. From canned peaches to Tylenol, to couch syrup, and even burial plots, China is finding that the prices for these products can reach astronomical heights.
In a gruesome fact, the Chinese have a backlog of cremated remains ready to be buried from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is only one reason that the funeral business is booming there. Perhaps it’s the taste of canned yellow peaches that can bring happiness on such dark days through its sweet taste.
China isn’t the only place where COVID-19 is peaking again. The US is experiencing its own surge regardless of the vaccine and booster push that occurred over the last two years. COVID tests are now available through the government free of charge again.
Although canned yellow peaches are not free, like the COVID tests are, China is working hard to quell fears and is trying to get folks to stop stockpiling food or medical supplies. One of the ways to keep COVID from getting to pandemic numbers again is through detection.
