Have you ever been shown an older picture of a friend or family member and are shocked at how old they look when really they’re not very old?
We have put together a list of pictures that have us wondering if people really did age faster in the past.
Ken Stabler – 30s
Ken Stabler was a quarterback in the National Football League for 17 seasons.
He played the majority of his career in Oakland. In this picture from the 1970s, Stabler was in his 30s, though he looks much older than that.
Otis Redding – 26
Otis Redding is thought to be one of the best singers in American history.
This picture has him looking like he could pass for someone in their 40s even though he was only 26 years old.
Parents – 23
This person shared an old picture of their parents where they felt they looked older than they really were.
Her mom is pregnant with her in this picture and both of them are only 23 years old.
Worried Woman – 32
This is a great picture of a woman who is deep in thought with two children on her.
She was just 32 years old when this was taken but looks like she could have been older than that.
Ritchie Valens – 17
Guitarist Ritchie Valens was also a singer and songwriter.
He was a big part of the Chicago rock movement in the 1950s. He died in a plane crash at the age of 18 and was just 17 in this picture!
Mother – 18
Another woman dug up an old picture of her mother and felt that it fit the theme.
She says that her mother was just 18 in this photo even though she looks like she is a much older woman.
George Harrison – 21
George Harrison was a member of one of the biggest music groups ever, The Beatles.
Harrison is only 21 in this picture but looks like he could be someone’s father in their 40s.
Y.A. Tittle – 36
Y.A. Tittle used to play professional football for a number of teams in the National Football League.
Pictured here at 36 years old, he could almost pass for someone’s grandfather.
Husband And Wife – 40s
This person submitted a picture of their parents that they thought had them looking much older than they were.
They are only in their 40s here but could be older than that if we didn’t know any better.
